Here's how it works: two teams, each with two players, line up across from each other with the Spikeball set in the centre and the ball is served. Once the ball is in play, players can move anywhere they want. The ball is served by hitting it with the palm of your hand into the net towards the opposing team. If this does not happen, the serve is invalid and is repeated. Points are awarded when a team cannot play the ball back. The accepting team may play the Spikeball back and forth twice – then the ball has to be played onto the net. With Spikeball, it's all about fairness: if a player impedes another player, the opposing team receives a point. The team that reaches 21 points first and is two points ahead of their opponents, wins.
